At only twenty years old, Olivia Rodrigo announced her second tour for her new album GUTS. There is one North American leg with 48 shows, followed by a European leg with 29 shows. The most popular song on the album, Vampire, recently hit number one on the US Billboard Hot 100. She only started her singing career in 2021 but has been in the acting industry since she was twelve, when she acted in the popular Disney channel show, Bizaardvark. After her shift in career, the general public has been raving over the new genre Rodrigo has been experimenting with.

“SOUR is a more mellow album than GUTS,” Ella Patel, a sophomore, at Bernards High School said, “GUTS shows that Olivia Rodrigo is experimenting with a more intense and edgy style of music”

Patel hopes to attend the tour in 2024 because she and her younger sister are big fans of her music. She said, “Olivia Rodrigo’s music is loved by many but is mostly appropriate for preteens and older.”

Patel and her sister are far from being the only superfans, as Juliette Maro, a sophomore at Bernards High School, voiced her opinion about the tour. She said, “Vampire is my favorite song because it is different from her other albums and I like the lyrics.”

Notable cities that she is touring include New York City, Newark, Montreal, Berlin, and London spanning from February 23rd to August 17th, 2024.

Aiden Heyer ‘26, will be attending the tour on April 5th, 2024 at Madison Square Garden. “I left school early just to get ahead of others in the queue.” Diehard fans are going wild and making sure that they go to the tour and get tickets to see Rodrigo. “It was stressful, but I got tickets easily and fairly cheap from Ticketmaster,” said Heyer. Many find this album inspirational and empowering. “I am most looking forward to seeing Olivia Rodrigo perform the songs ‘Pretty isn’t Pretty’ and ‘Making the Bed’ because when I first listened to them I found them very relatable.”
