Earlier this month, on March 7th, the seniors turned the cafeteria into a runway. The Fashion Show had been a great outcome for the senior class. With 50/50 raffles, food, refreshments and a DJ, the fashion show was never dull. The theme of this year’s show was “The Roaring 20’s”, transporting everyone to a whole new decade.

The hosts for the night making the show run as smoothly as possible were Abigail Lim and James Kessler.

From all of the clothes that were donated and the hair and makeup volunteers, it was a glamorous night. For hair and makeup, the J. Walker Salon and Bellizima Blow Out Bar & Salon helped make the models look their very best on the runway.

Starting off the show, it first consisted of the casual wear portion. Many local boutiques and shops helped make this possible for the senior models. Those shops include Anne Taylor, Bling By Design, Century 21, Diamond Dream, Eastern Mountain Sports, The Gap, Marshalls, Olympia Sports, Paradise, Pretty Pink Rooster, Rebecca Collection, REI, Urban Cottage, and Windswept. The 107 seniors who participated, each showed off their trendy clothes from these stores.

A senior model, Brooke Norris explained, “Although it was scary, I enjoyed having the spotlight on me while walking down. I think everyone should do it in their senior year.”

The final portion of the show was formal wear. Seniors dressed in colorful gowns and tuxedos, showing them off on the runway. Formal wear was donated by Tuxton Formal and Joseph D’Apolito & Sons.

Senior model Aracely Velozo said, “I like the formal wear portion better because you get to dress up and walk with a partner of your choice and you guys get to walk together and experience such a fun time walking down the runway!”

Another senior model, Mattie Sbaraglio said, “I love how supportive everyone was to each other, everybody was cheering one another on before and after we came on stage.”
