What do you wish you knew as a freshman?

Ganimete Lamaj- That nobody actually cares as much as you think they do, so do what you want to and make friends with everyone

Austin Mistretta- That there really is a swimming pool on the roof of the school.

Devan Barbuty-I wish I knew what classes I would enjoy, like woodshop, so I wouldn’t have waited until Junior year to take them.

Matt Taylor-That time is extremely limited… cherish every moment.

Madigan Petrie-Beware of the NFA.

Matt Parciak- Ms. Acuff is the person who will get you into college.

Mattie Engleby – High school is way easier if you put your happiness before your grades; teachers don’t bite and class is way more fun if you learn to joke with them.

Hannah Wengersky- I wish that I had known that it was ok to ask others for help and that I didn’t have to do everything on my own.

Henry Theiner- Do not go for what is popular, go for what you want because in 4 years you won’t know anyone anyway.

Lauren Eddy- Math homework actually counts for a huge portion of the grade.

Maria Lezme- To not stand in the middle of the hallways.

Samantha Siegel- Always do your homework, it actually saves you grade for when that really hard test comes around.

Antigone Scaperdas- That the turnitin portal closes at exactly midnight.

Tracy Walker- That Scott Neigel was on his way.

Mary McCormack- Annie’s Deli exists.

Vigneshwar Cheriath- Not to whine about Algebra II, since math only gets harder from there.

Carly Krupat- Enjoy every moment.

Lucy Grey- I wish I knew Jon Stewart was leaving the Daily Show so I could’ve appreciated every beautiful moment of his show.

Will Howes- Change is the only constant.

Mason Tannenbaum-That joining clubs is fun and generally not too time-consuming.

Jesse Milesnick- Time management

Phoebe McNamara- High School was not as scary as it seems, Do not feel intimidated around upperclassmen and what they think about you. Be yourself, be confident, and have as much fun as possible.

Carson King- High School isn’t that bad.

Jack Keating-DJ HotTubs spits hot fire, and yogurt is the best cafeteria snack.

Colin O’Reilly- That freshman year is actually important

Spencer Knoll-Where the pool was.

Rachel Goldman- How to tie my shoes.

Hunter Kane- That it is easy to make mistake but a good group of people can help you laugh through them.

Molly Kauffman- To use all your absences.

Sydney Rudin-The bathrooms near the library are for teachers only.

Teresa Reilly-Doing well here has nothing to do with your capacity or desire to learn, and everything to do with handing in and completing many assignments you would rather not do if you want to get good grades, you have to sacrifice your desire to learn, but sometimes you’ll get a teacher who manages to teach – don’t waste it.

Dan Craft- Try as many extracurriculars as possible early on and then pick a few to stick with.

Quintin Petty- How fast high school goes

Kate Conte- Go to all the football games.

Kelly Walker- Not to give College Board my email when I take the PSATs next year.

Renee Best- F. Gill.

Emma McMasters- You’re eventually going to need to get into college and yes, Freshman year grades matter.

Maddie Fisher-To value your own happiness above all else, and how great it is that by senior year you’ll have friends in all different social circles.

Michael DiLeonardo- to not block the upperclassmen in the hallways; it annoys them.

Jill Reinen- That annoying kid that wore snapbacks in your T&R class isn’t that bad.

Cassidy Dixon- That not everything is supes important.  It’s most important to have fun with friends and make memories.

Caitlin Dunne- That “Hotmath” and “Sparknotes” are God’s gift to students.

Kimmy hunt- That I would be just as beautiful +500.

Dylan Voss- Time management

Mackensi Considine – Whatever happens in high school will not affect your entire future. You get a fresh start when you go to college.

Mary Carlyon – High school goes by real quick, so make the most of it.

Farrell Tamke- Not everyone is going to like you and that’s totally fine. Oh and start lifting early.

Meg Gunson-Take mental health days as often as possible.

Amberly Williams- Some people don’t have nerves.

Carter Prince- If you get in the habit of slacking, it’s hard to stop.

Devanshi Goshwami- How to get around the school quick.

Justin Brach – Walking on the right side of the hallway will always lead to success.

Kevin Helfrich- I wish I knew I was going to move to BHS Junior year.

Rebecca Baldwin- I wish I knew that you could use a back and not carry around a massive purse.

Ali Kramer- Sleep is more important

Kristen Coury- Don’t sign up for college emails on ACTs.

Alex Russo- How important grades would be in the future

Carter Klein- Don’t go crazy with hard classes just to make your transcript better

Shawn McDole- to do homework

Harini Gunasekera- How to get around the school

Sara Rupert- Freshman year isn’t that bad

Abby Devito- Mental health days are just as crucial to your grades as studying.

Luke Bowerbank- That it is okay to express my feelings.

Julius Heil- Don’t overload yourself with hard classes just to make your crascript look better. Grades over class difficulty.

Summer Gilbert-That drama and fights are not worth it in the long run.

Jason Kopp- Time management.

Sophia Das-That getting good grades really matters for your college process even during your freshman year.

Caitlin Kotz- that the pool didn’t exist

Pierce Henderson- to lower my expectations

Jenna Barton-Never be afraid to try new things – go for the clubs and activities that sound interesting and then continue with what you enjoy the most.

Emma Pannullo- Cool people hang out in the band room.

Andrew Martin- where the pool is.

Kyle Verduin- that freshman year counts.

Bea Giordano- That cookies wouldn’t be 3 for $1 anymore 🙁
