On September 19th the 73rd Primetime Emmy Awards were hosted. Every year the Emmys celebrate the best new series, actors, directors, and more. Along with honoring these shows, the Emmys also provides it’s audience with lots of TV show recommendations.

If you are a fan of the series Schitt’s Creek, Brooklyn 99, or Parks and Recreation then you might be interested in watching the show, Ted Lasso. Ted Lasso is a Comedy- Drama series that premiered in August 2020 and stars Jason Sedeikis and Hannah Waddingham. This series follows an American football coach named Ted Lasso, who is hired to coach for a professional soccer team in England, despite him having no former soccer experience. Ted Lasso has won the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Comedy Series along with many other awards. If you’re interested in watching Ted Lasso, it is available on Apple Tv+.

If you find the British Royal family fascinating then you would enjoy the show The Crown. The Crown follows the life of Queen Elizabeth II from the day of her wedding until the early 21st century. In an interview with Parade.com, the royal historian Carolyn Harris says “The Crown is a blend of fact and fiction, inspired by true events.” This historical drama series premiered on November 4th, 2016, and now has four seasons. The Crown won the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Drama Series and is highly rated among multiple websites. If you’re intrigued by The Crown It is exclusively available on Netflix.

Although chess might sound boring, The Queen’s gambit shows its audience a whole new side of competitive chess. The Queen’s Gambit follows the life of a young orphan chess prodigy named Elizabeth Harmon, and her struggles with emotional problems, as well as drug and alcohol addiction. The show premiered in October 2020 and stars Anya Taylor-Joy. It has won The Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Limited or Anthology Series and several other awards. Finding a good TV show to binge watch is definitely hard. However, thanks to the Emmys, we are introduced to the best new shows of 2021, some of which we have never even heard of before.
