Although chess might sound boring, The Queen’s gambit shows its audience a whole new side of competitive chess. The Queen’s Gambit follows the life of a young orphan chess prodigy named Elizabeth Harmon, and her struggles with emotional problems, as well as drug and alcohol addiction. The show premiered in October 2020 and stars Anya Taylor-Joy. It has won The Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Limited or Anthology Series and several other awards.
