Boys Lacrosse

February 27, 2023

After a heartbreaking one goal loss in the state semifinals last year to Caldwell, the boys lacrosse team is looking to come back for a state championship. After being moved up into the highest division in the state, and not having the season anticipated, they were moved into the waterman division. To start the preseason the boys will be taking a trip down to Florida from March 23 to the 27, to better prepare them for the season. Also the boys have added three division one commits with more on the way. This could be the season the boys lacrosse team finally gets their championship after falling short two years in a row. After losing key players Harry Kaufman, Nick Paterno, Sean Doran, and Zach Zukowsky, young returning players Finn Vaccaro, Caden Kirst, Jake Caldwell, David Brothers, and Charlie Hunnewell are all looking to step up and fill the gaps of the graduated players. Returting starter Charlie Vaccaro on how he feels about the upcoming season: “I feel like we have a really good shot at winning states this year. We have a really strong core of experienced guys who want to win. Also super pumped to play with both of my brothers this year.” This team is going to be a team to watch as a top group-one team in the state.
