The annual Senior Fashion Show took place on Saturday, April 5th featuring the Bernards Class of 2025. Students got the opportunity to wear stylish clothes from various nearby boutiques and small businesses located in the Bernardsville area.

The outfits the students displayed were hand-picked by the boutique owners and the students themselves. This included dresses, matching sets, loungewear and PJs, and carefully designed attire. The Senior Fashion Show was also an event to raise money for Project Graduation and the small businesses included in the event. There were raffles, silent auctions, and plenty more for the audience and participants to engage in.

Seniors Ella Ecko and Logan Derosa were the MCs of the show, introducing each group and the stores they were sponsored by. Some of these stores include Marshalls, Olcott Squared, Rebecca Collection, Hans, Erbys Elite Repeat, Sneaker Factory, and several more.

The show began with a dance from a group of students, wearing all black and performing a well-choreographed dance hooking the audience immediately. It was the perfect start for the show, making it thrilling and electrifying.

The first round of the show included various groups each representing different stores. Students walked both together, solo, and then lastly as a group striking poses and choreographed dances.

Fashion show participant Evelyn Noonan ‘25 states, “My outfit was so perfect from Olcott Squared, that I had to buy it because it looked amazing on and off the runway.”

The small businesses that participated had the opportunity to have their collections shown off, drawing attention and more customers to their stores.

After a twenty-minute intermission for attendees to enter raffles and silent auctions, the students performed a “formal attire” round, wearing prom dresses and suits. Most participants walked with dates, friends, and groups all posing at the end of the runway, striking poses for the camera.

“I had so much fun dressing up and walking with my date, it was super exciting to choreograph poses and show them off at the top of the runway” quoted Cora Hanratty ‘25, reflecting on the formal round. Some students brought props, like money dispensers, confetti bottles, and bubble machines making it more engaging and fun.

After the formal round, everyone walked in a single-file line around the runway in their dresses and suits. At the end, all seniors collectively walked with hand-made signs honoring Jack Morra to show their support.

Senior Ari Rosen reflects on the show because  “It was fun and exciting to partake in the show after watching it for so many years.” For many seniors, it was an exciting and anticipated night that began the closing of the 2024-25 school year.

The fashion show started several years ago as a way to raise money for Project Graduation, but in recent years it has grown to a mass production and event for the senior class. The night was memorable for both the students who participated, but also the audience and parents who got to witness the bittersweet event. The 2025 fashion show was pleasant for all, and a night to remember for everyone who participated and cheered on.
