Kim Kardashian Makes Her Comeback

On October 3, 2016, famous American model and reality television star Kim Kardashian was held at gunpoint in her Paris apartment by a group of around fifteen men disguised as police officers. They are reported to have stolen an estimated $10 million in jewelry and cash from the Kardashian’s apartment. Kim took the world by surprise by taking an over three month break from social media. Her last Instagram post and tweet before this break was posted on October 2, 2016. Over the course of the past few months, this story has been kept tucked away from the eyes of the public. Just recently, Kim has decided to come out from her hiding. “I follow almost all of the Kardashian family on Instagram. It was very odd not seeing pictures of Kim pop up on my feed for the past few months” says Junior Megan Mlynarski.

Returning from her self-imposed hiatus, Kim Kardashian both tweeted and instagrammed a picture of her alongside her husband, Kanye West, and two children North and Saint West on January 6 with the caption “family”. Kim also uploaded a family video on her website, suggesting to her fans and viewers that this will be the main focus in her life from now on. In addition to these social media posts, a new promo clip for the upcoming season of Keeping Up With The Kardashian was released on January 6 of 2017. The clip includes a short preview of Kim recalling events of the attack by saying “they’re going to shoot me in the back. There’s no way out. It makes me so upset to think about it.”

In the early hours of January 9, 2017, the French police detained seventeen people for question over this armed robbery. The group was collected in Paris and the eastern suburbs of Raincy and Vincenne during an early Monday morning police operation. One other suspect was taken into custody in Grasse in the Alpes-Maritimes of southern France. “I’m really glad that they found the robbers. I think it’s good for Kim to have closure about this tragic event especially since a lot of people felt it was all a scam” says Junior Lauren Browne.

Luckily Kim Kardashian’s break from social media has proven successful as she starts 2017 with a major comeback.
