Each year, after graduation, the “Last Blast” is launched to give graduating BHS Seniors one last school sponsored celebration. BHS, like many other local schools, has endorsed this tradition for several years.
Sue Giordano, Maureen Murphy and Janet Keating, parents of BHS seniors, are organizing this year’s Last Blast. Throughout the year, the parents had different fundraisers that helped raise money for the “Last Blast”. The Tricky Tray, Night or the Stars Dance, Senior Fashion Show, 100 Days Breakfast and the Senior/ Faculty Luncheon were fundraisers for the Last Blast. Some of the fundraisers were the Tricky Tray, Night of the Stars Dance, Senior Fashion Show, 100 Days Breakfast and the Senior/ Faculty Luncheon.
All of the seniors are invited to attend, on Thursday, June 18. The Last Blast will be held directly after graduation, which ends at 9:00 pm. The seniors will board the buses at approximately 9:30. From the high school, the buses will take them to Lifetime Fitness in Florham Park. The Last Blast will be from 9:30 pm to 4:30 am.
There will be pool, games, a DJ, a food truck, and live entertainment at the Last Blast. The seniors will be able to play basketball, volleyball, and even rock climb. They can also get temporary tattoos and take photos in a photobooth. This event is at no cost to the seniors.
Permissions slips must be handed in to the main office to be able to attend Last Blast. One is a climbing agreement. It says if a senior choices to rock climb they must be aware of the risk. There is also a wavier form. It states that a senior could get injured and Lifetime Fitness is not liable for any injuries. The last form is the permission slip. It gives all the information regarding the Last Blast.
